Reminding you what Central Biotechnology Services has on offer!
As restrictions have now eased, we thought it would be a good time to remind you of some of the services we have available here at Central Biotechnology Services. These services are available to researchers based at Cardiff University, other universities, the NHS and external businesses. Depending on the specific instrument, we offer a fully managed service, experimental design advice or user access to our facilities.
Our flow cytometry range includes an Amnis ImageStream X Mark II, a BD FACSAria III Cell sorter and a BD FACSymphony A3 Cell Analyzer in addition to a selection of bench top flow cytometers.
Our genomics range comprises Real-time qPCR instruments, an Affymetrix Microarray platform, an Eppendorf epMotion® P5073 liquid handling robot and our new Nanostring nCounter MAX Analysis system.
We also have a Biacore T200instrument for the label free analysis of macromolecular interactions and a MESO QuickPlex SQ 120 platform from MSD for electrochemiluminescence immunoassays.
In addition to wide-ranging technical and bioinformatics support, we offer advice on quality management and accreditation.
Visit our website to learn more about our full range of services or contact us to discuss your specific needs!
Training update
Thank you to all of you who have attended our recent training sessions on qPCR, Flow Cytometry theory and FlowJo software.
We will continue to schedule courses, some free and some on a cost recovery basis, some online and some face-to-face, to support researchers as much as we can. Please contact us to discuss your training needs, offer suggestions and continue to check our website and follow us on Twitter for details of upcoming events.
