Delivering bespoke online training to Ocado Group

1 February 2022

Woman delivering online training

Cardiff Business School has led a programme of bespoke online training with Ocado Group logistics employees.

15 supply chain and logistics employees completed the series of tailored online modules led by the School’s Logistics and Operations Management experts.

The programme, which looked to broaden their industry knowledge, was specifically designed to meet learning requirements for Ocado Group’s Operational Excellence and Supply Chain department.

The 9-month long programme was co-led by Course Director Vasco Sanchez Rodrigues and Deputy Director Emrah Demir and delivered online due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The programme is innovative as it includes projects in addition to training, which can generate funding opportunities and papers in the coming future. This is an example of how Cardiff University can add value to leading companies from industry, like Ocado Group. We are rather proud and excited to have the opportunity to run the course again in 2022.

As a final exercise, delegates were asked to apply learnings from the programme to develop practical projects that could support supply chain and logistics improvements.

Following the success of the training programme, Ocado Group and Cardiff Business School will be partnering on a second instalment of this tailored executive training, to be delivered in 2022.

At the end of the programme, we were glad to deliver high quality teaching specifically tailored for the requirements of Ocado Group Operational Excellence and Supply Chain department employees. We look forward to developing more courses and projects in the following years.
