Introduction to Mandarin for teachers
16 February 2022
Have you ever considered learning the basics of Mandarin Chinese? Perhaps you want to be involved in introducing it to your school, support your pupils with their learning, or use it to develop yourself professionally or personally?
We are delighted to announce our next teacher training course for Chinese. Introduction to Mandarin for teachers is held for an hour a week over six weeks, allowing you to learn some basics of the language. Taught by a native Chinese speaker, it is an interactive course held via Zoom. Once you have completed it, you will also have the opportunity to progress fully-funded onto Cardiff University’s Chinese for Beginners I course in May 22 if you so wish.
The programme is completely free, and will be held on Wednesdays 6.30-7.30pm from 2 March to 6 April. To express your interest please sign up here by 12pm on Monday 28 February.
If you would like to read about former course participants, their experiences and what they went on to do with their Chinese, please read our news item here. To learn more about the Wales China Schools Project, you can also visit this page.
