New Counsel General to call for ‘national civic conversation’
21 June 2021
The new Counsel General and Minister for the Constitution, Mick Antoniw MS, will deliver a speech for Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre next month, where he will outline plans to hold a national conversation on Wales’ constitutional future.
In the context of the Welsh Government’s landmark publication, ‘Reforming our Union: shared governance in the UK’, and calls for home rule on radical federalist lines, the Counsel General and Minister for the Constitution will set out how he intends to “engage the people of Wales in shaping a new vision for a strong Wales in a successful UK”.
The online speech at 10am on July 5th will be open to all, and registration is available at this link.
