Working with Translation – free online course

Registration for our online course, Working with Translation, is now open!

From 15 March 2021 you can sign up, free of charge, to our course, Working with Translation, which we run in conjunction with Future Learn. Future Learn is an online platform which works with 175 UK and international partners to offer Massive Open Online Courses (otherwise known as a MOOCs) across a vast range of subjects.

From health to the justice system, from the voluntary sector to sport and the arts, we all increasingly live and work in contexts where people speak more than one language. Working with Translation stresses the importance of translation and draws on our research and expertise to help you discover practical tips and knowledge about the nature of translation in a multilingual world.

You will explore translation in a global context, and in the process hopefully discover your own ‘inner translator’!

We began offering Working with Translation in 2016 and, due to its popularity, have run seven iterations since then to nearly 50,000 people worldwide. To date, we have attracted learners from the UK, Brazil, Russia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Italy, USA, Ukraine, India and Vietnam so where you’re based is never a problem!
