Online tasters of “Passive Design” teaching from MSc Environmental Design of Buildings
25 February 2021
Dr Vicki Stevenson, course leader for the MSc in Environmental Design of Buildings, has been providing online tasters of “Passive Design” teaching from the course as part of CPD Summer/Spring Online School.
CPD Spring Online School follows on from last year's Summer School and is running for two weeks from 12-23 April. It is packed with free webinars, Twitter Q&A takeovers and other CPD content from across the University.
Dr Stevenson's first session was delivered as part of Cardiff University’s Virtual Summer School in 2020 and focused on natural ventilation, which was timely given the high concern about air quality during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr Stevenson has now been asked to return for Cardiff University’s Online Spring School in 2021 to provide an 'Introduction to Passive Cooling' which will be presented on Friday 16th April at 10:30am.
Dr Vicki Stevenson was delighted to be asked to participate in both events. She said:
“I really enjoyed presenting ideas about natural ventilation in summer 2020 and was pleased that the audience had some really interesting questions at the end. Now I’m looking forward to presenting the introduction to passive cooling in spring 2021!”
The MSc in Environmental Design of Buildings enables students to develop the knowledge and ability needed to design healthy, comfortable environments in and around buildings that place a minimal strain on global resources.
