Palliative Care CPD courses
2 September 2020
Did you know that the University offers a range of CPD courses, postgraduate level modules and an MSc in aspects of Palliative Care? We have created a suite of courses developed and run by experts from the School of Medicine, which are suitable for doctors and healthcare professionals working with patients with end-of-life conditions.
There are many courses and programmes in Palliative Care, including a 2-day Integrated Palliative Care course, which has been updated to reflect the new challenges in end-of-life care due to the ongoing pandemic.
Dates will be available for many courses shortly, and in the meantime you can register your interest, in order to be the first to hear when bookings open.
We have also created a booklet, which contains information about all the different courses available for healthcare professionals working in palliative care, as well as some additional courses you may be interested in - such as Leadership and Management skills, the Cardiff LBA, Lean working and Project Management courses. You can download the booklet here:

The MSc/Diploma delivery team have developed this 2-day face-to-face CPD course as a response to the rising morbidity and mortality of incurable conditions. It provides a good grounding in palliative medicine and care, covering: cancer, dementia, end stage respiratory and end stage cardiac conditions.
Palliative Care Update (1 day)
This is a condensed version of our integrated palliative care course. We have developed this course as we are aware that GPs and healthcare staff cannot always be released for 2 days, yet the need for upskilling and updating in palliative care remains very necessary.
