Elections and Welsh finance to be discussed at Eisteddfod AmGen

Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre is taking part in this year’s Eisteddod AmGen, with events featuring Richard Wyn Jones, Laura McAllister and more.

With the 2020 National Eisteddfod in Tregaron postponed due to Covid-19, AmGen offers a programme of digital events.

On Tuesday 4th August, at 14:00, Guto Ifan and Cian Siôn of the Wales Fiscal Analysis team will join Professor Laura McAllister in a live Zoom event to discuss Covid-19 and the Welsh economy. The event is being held in partnership with the Welsh Parliament and can be accessed using  this link (Zoom client needed). Translation will be available.

Later the same day, at 17:30, a presentation by Professor Richard Wyn Jones will be broadcast. Entitled ‘What happened in the 2019 General Election - and why?’, the lecture and presentation will be essential viewing and contains a raft of data explaining last December’s dramatic UK General Election.
