Medicentre tenant Intelligent Ultrasound group have moved their warehouse operations to Caerphilly.
The group, which began life as Cardiff University spinout MedaPhor has expanded to the point that its warehouse space was no longer large enough to meet its needs.
In a process known as graduation, the manufacturing aspect of the company has now moved to a new unit in Trecenydd Business Park in Caerphilly, a short drive from the Medicentre.
Stuart Gall, CEO of Intelligent Ultrasound Group said “We started building our hi-fidelity ultrasound training simulators in suite 16 in 2010 and now build over 150 simulator systems a year and ship over 80% to leading medical institutions overseas.”
“The Medicentre was the perfect place to start the business, giving us flexible space in a great location, but we had grown too big for the space and have moved to a modern large warehouse space in Caerphilly.”
Justin John, Business Innovation Officer at Cardiff Medicentre, said “"Intelligent Ultrasound have continued to go from strength to strength and have become one of the flagship successes at the Cardiff Medicentre. Their new warehouse expansion indicates the rapid growth of their export business and we, at the Medicentre, are proud to have played a small part in their journey".
Intelligent Ultrasound will continue to occupy office space at Cardiff Medicentre.
