We are delighted to be launching a FREE Virtual CPD Summer School programme.

The Summer School is running from 22-26 June, and is a week of free webinars, Twitter Q&A takeovers and other CPD content from across the University.
We have over 20 sessions and activities available for you to book, with themes as diverse as understanding the challenges of dementia communication, Lean practice and why it's so important, and the ‘new’ work-life balance.
Many of the sessions have been created in the context of Covid-19 and how this can affect the way we work and continue our professional development during these uncertain times.

This session will be of particular interest to pharmacists and other healthcare workers who may be having to adapt their usual patient-facing roles. It is a good introduction to the Clinical Pharmacy (Msc/PgDip/PgCert) and Pharmacist Independent Prescribing programmes, where this session is featured. |

UNDERSTANDING THE CHALLENGES OF DEMENTIA COMMUNICATION Alison Wray, School of English, Communication and Philosophy | 14:00 - 15:00 | In this session, Alison will play extracts from her animated film about the mechanisms of communication between people with dementia and their families, carers and others, and explain and illustrate some of the themes and issues raised.
