Why those who want to repeal the Human Rights Act must think about the impact on victims

In a public lecture at Cardiff Law School yesterday evening, Sir Keir Starmer QC (former Director of Public Prosecutions) outlined the importance of the Human Rights Act to victims.
He questioned whether those who want to repeal the act had thought about what effect doing so could have on the victims of crime.
