Law at Cardiff is 5th in the Russell Group for overall student satisfaction

The results of the 2015 National Student Survey (NSS) show that overall satisfaction with Law programmes at Cardiff puts us in fifth place among Russell Group universities.

The results also show that 93% of our final year undergraduate students were satisfied with their overall experience at the School of Law.

Published annually, the NSS asks undergraduates to rate their University experience in areas including teaching, academic support and personal development.

Law students spoke most positively about staff explaining things clearly (96%) - 4% higher than the University average - and about access to the IT resources they needed (95%).

Assessment and feedback also fared well in the survey, both efficiency of feedback and fairness of assessment arrangements and marking performed better than the University average.

Professor Daniel Wincott, Head of School, said: “Cardiff Law School is committed to providing top quality legal education. We are delighted that such a large proportion of our undergraduates rate their educational experience with us so highly.”

Cardiff University has also recorded its highest level of overall student satisfaction at 90%, above both the Welsh (85%) and sector-wide (86%) averages. The results also show a rise in satisfaction with Cardiff University Students’ Union cementing its place as one of the very best in the UK.
