CITER wound healing workshop
19 February 2016
On 3rd February 2016, we hosted the 'Wound Healing: Collaboration and innovation for health and wealth’
It had a diverse range of speakers from Wales and the UK who presented their work on different aspects of wound related research and innovation.
The workshop began with a presentation from Professor Sue Bale on the South East Wales Academic Health Science Partnership (SEWASHP) and the support that is on offer for clinicians, researchers and academics to undertake joint research and innovation projects.
This was followed up by a number of presentations from clinicians and researchers with key note lectures by Professor Dan Bader (University of Southampton) on wound related medical devices and Associate Professor Dr Yamni Nigam (Swansea University) on the science behind the use of medicinal maggots.
The workshop was well attended and well received by a very diverse audience of clinicians, academics and researchers.
