Immerse yourself in Chinese culture with Cardiff Confucius Institute
30 September 2015
This October the Confucius Institute is celebrating two important dates in the Chinese calendar with a fun event in Cardiff Central Library.
Fortuitously this year, the Mid-Autumn Festival which is celebrated by Chinese people when the moon is at its roundest and brightest, fell on the same date as Confucius Institute Day which is the anniversary of the establishment of the first Confucius Institute on 27 September.
Seeing a cause for cultural celebration, Cardiff’s Confucius Institute has organised an afternoon of Chinese life taking place in Cardiff Library on Saturday 3 October between 12 – 5pm. The afternoon is free and open to all and will include Tai-Chi and Kung Fu, traditional dance & music performances, calligraphy paper-cutting & mask-making, story-telling & costume dressing.
Come and celebrate two great dates in the Chinese calendar and learn more about the country’s culture.
