Steven Morris wins Staff Award

Steven Morris, Senior Technician in the School of Chemistry, has been awarded the inaugural edition of our “Best Colleague” award.  Nominations were sought from all staff to recognise and reward colleagues who have enhanced the work and life of the School in the last year. Many impressive commendations were received, but Steve’s excellence and professionalism was particularly well regarded.

Steven said “The commitment and skills of all of the PSS team are plain to see; and it's a pleasure to work with such a dedicated group of professionals. I'm very grateful for the award which adds further to my sense of being valued by the School.” Dr Jamie Platts, chair of the Staff Opportunities Committee, added “I am delighted that Steve’s co-workers chose to recommend him for his technical and professional excellence. His skill and ability underpins a great deal of the work of the School, and is a reflection of the superb professional services team.”

The award was presented by Prof Rudolf Allemann at the School Christmas lunch on Thursday 10th December.
