BRE Trust Visit to Cardiff Centre of Excellence

Professor Rezgui and our team hosted a visit from members of the BRE Trust  and presented our annual review.  Current BRE PhD students and Centre researchers provided a live demonstration of on-going 'Connected Buildings' research detailing how the work from various projects was being linked and progressed into the Cardiff Urban Sustainability Platform (CUSP). 

Cities and districts stand at the forefront of sustainability objectives. This is increasingly being addressed by improving operational efficiency through smart city and intelligent management solutions.

To meet this challenge the Cardiff University Sustainability Platform   is being developed, an immersive decision support tool built to deliver CU’s powerful urban analytics. CUSP enables interactive monitoring and informed decision making through a web interface.

The session concluded with a poster session where our visitors took the opportunity to discuss research projects with many of our postgraduate students.  These posters are available to download from our website.
