PhD student Noah Akhimien and Dr Eshrar Latif win best presentation award at the ICEESD 2019 conference

Noah Akhimien, a PhD student from Sustainable Mega Buildings and Dr Eshrar Latif from The Welsh School of Architecture have won the Best Presentation Award at the International Conference on Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development in San Francisco

The conference, held on 26-27 September aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in these fields.

Dr Eshrar Latif, course leader for the MSc Sustainable Mega Buildings said:

“Noah’s on-going work is an innovative approach incorporating circular economy into low energy building design and I am very happy that his research has been recognised at this international conference where he had the opportunity to present to those leading work in this field.“

The MSc in Sustainable Mega Buildings focuses on principles of sustainable design and planning of mega-buildings and aims to train students to respond to the environmental challenges associated with these buildings.
