Spreading the Software Academy’s Innovative Word

Students and staff from the National Software Academy recently spoke at a networking event connecting people in business to Cardiff University.
The presentation entitled Software Innovation: Partnering with Business to Shape the National Software Academy, was the focus of the University’s highly regarded Innovation Network series of talks.
Delivered by Professor
Steve Hurley (Cardiff University), John Holvey (Alacrity Foundation) Matt
Wintle (Admiral Group Plc), and students Vanessa Yau, Luke Tanprasit and Chris
Paterson, the audience got to hear about the background to the establishment of
the National Software Academy, the innovative way in which students are being
taught, and the successful relationships already being forged with industry to
help produce employable, in-demand software engineers at the end of the three
year degree.
