17 June 2019
Partnerships Manager Ali Abdi and Community Gateway Ambassador Andrea Drobna recently attended a conference at the University of Bristol to discuss community-university collaborative working.
The conference entitled: "Conversations that count: effective partnerships in engaged learning" was held at the University of Bristol by the School of Education and was created to talk about community engagement and how to further embed live teaching projects into the University curriculum.
Ali said: "We learned so much about the new and exciting live projects taking place within multiple schools in the University, and were excited to talk with the Bristol University public engagement team about how they can better their community outreach. Thank you to the team for a wonderful afternoon"
Ali and Andrea gave a presentation to the School of Education on the work that the Community Gateway team has been doing with the community of Grangetown and discussed how the University of Bristol could run a similar programme of community-university collaborations. We look forward to hearing about their success!
