HRM alumnus wins British Council Entrepreneurial Award

Zhao Xinyu, MSc Human Resource Management alumnus (2004), has been named the winner of the British Council Entrepreneurial Award at the inaugural Education UK Alumni Awards for China.
Launched by the British Council, the Education UK Alumni Awards honour the achievements of UK alumni all over the world.
His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge presented Mr Zhao with his award, which recognises alumni who have succeeded in launching new business opportunities with strong growth prospects, at a ceremony in Shanghai.
Mr Zhao, who says that studying for a master’s degree in the UK instilled him with an enthusiasm for management and the entrepreneurial spirit, is the founder and chief executive of Bang Travel, an e-commerce enterprise that provides Chinese self-guided travel services.
His past professional experience includes General Manager of the Global Human Resources Center of ZTE Corporation, a world leading tele-communications company, and Vice President of Operations at CDH Investments, a leading investment firm.
