Green Impact Awards 2017
19 June 2017
The Welsh School of Architecture was presented with a Bronze Award at the Green Impact Awards Ceremony, which took place on 8th June 2017. It is the first time the School has taken part in the scheme.
Dr Vicki Stevenson, Director of Health, Safety and Environment, and Meriem Kayoueche-Reeve, who led the School’s Green Impact assessment, attended the ceremony.
Green Impact is an environmental accreditation scheme which was used by 179 organisations ranging from students’ unions to NHS Trusts in 2015/16.
The scheme aims to bring together staff and student to green campuses, curriculums and the community. It allows teams to make simple and tangible changes within their areas by completing an online workbook. The aim is to provide a tool which enables sustainability to be embedded within University departments.
