Clinical leadership training: an evaluation of the Welsh Fellowship programme

Suzanne Phillips and Alison Bullock’s recent publication in a special edition of the Leadership in Health Services Journal, looks at our evaluation of the Wales Deanery’s Welsh Clinical Fellowship Programme (WCLF).

Focusing on participants from the first two cohorts of WCLF, the paper explores expectations of the programme, reactions to academic components and learning from workplace projects and other opportunities.  Data was collected from focus groups, one-to-one interviews with fellows and project supervisors and observation of Academi Wales training days.

The research adds to the knowledge and impact of leadership and management fellowship programmes for trainee doctors and dentists
