Sustainable Places welcomes international experts in sustainability
24 April 2018
Cardiff University's Sustainable Places Research Institute has welcomed its International Advisory Board to Cardiff.
Made up of eminent sustainability experts from across the world, the Institute’s Board met colleagues at the Institute and had opportunities to discuss their research and partnerships with them.
The Institute also held its annual keynote lecture, when three members of the Board - Professor Alison Blay-Palmer, Professor Tony Capon and Professor Katarina Eckerberg - discussed the challenges of interdisciplinary place making from the perspective of their own, expert research.
Professor Terry Marsden, Director of Sustainable Places Institute, said: “We were delighted to welcome members of our International Advisory Board to the Institute this week. Over two intense days of work they were able to understand the variety of research being conducted at the Institute and offer expert advice on how we can develop our work.
“We were very pleased that such a prestigious group of experts were impressed with the variety of research being conducted, and the international impact the Institute is making. We will be taking forward many ideas and discussing their recommendations in the near future.”
