Grangetown business map launched at Business Forum
14 March 2018
Community Gateway was delighted to support community partner, Grangetown Community Action, in launching the very first independent Grangetown Business Map at the Business Forum, held at Tramshed Tech on Monday 5th March.
The map lists 22 Grangetown businesses and is the result of a suggestion made at one of the first Business Forum meetings held in Spring 2017. The map will be available in each of the businesses featured and will also be distributed throughout Cardiff, in businesses and buildings accessible to the general public.
Lynne Thomas, Community Gateway Project Manager said:
“It’s fantastic that the map has come out of the Business Forum; it demonstrates a keen appetite within the community to support the Shop Local campaign initiated by GCA and supported by students from Cardiff University Business School. It’s gratifying to see tangible benefits of the community and university working together.”
The Grangetown Map is supported by funding awarded by Cardiff University City Region Exchange and is a superb example of community-university partnership working.
The next Business Forum will be held in June and will feature guest speakers covering ‘how to learn from failure’ and ‘how to move your business forward in a digital world’. Please get in touch if you can help with either of these: communitygateway@cardiff.ac.uk
