BBC coverage of the Salters’ Festival of Chemistry at Cardiff School of Chemistry

The School of Chemistry recently hosted its annual Salters' Festival of Chemistry on 14th May 2015, welcoming 11 schools (list shown below) and a total of 44 pupils aged 11-13 from across the south Wales region. The day also featured a visit from Deputy Minister Vaughan Gething AM who was interviewed in the teaching laboratory during the event. The highly successful day was covered by BBC Wales TV and Radio, as well as S4C. Coverage of the event was broadcast on May 14th in a BBC Wales News item and by S4C's 'Ffeil' programme. In addition, an episode of the BBC Wales Radio programme 'Science Café' with presenter Adam Walton was dedicated to the event (see link below) and broadcast on 19th and 24th May. The programme features interviews with Dr Simon Pope, Dr Dayna Mason and representatives from the Salters' Institute, as well as pupils and teachers who attended the event.
