Information on your induction, welcome events and accessing your timetable.

To help give you the best possible start to your academic experience your school has designed an exciting programme of induction activities. It’s a chance to settle in and get to know your course, your personal tutor, the school support staff, the facilities, digital learning tools, and your new coursemates.

Make sure you have completed online enrolment before you arrive in Cardiff. Induction week takes place from 23 to 27 September. Your school will email you in early September with your full induction programme details.

Freshers' events

Cardiff Students’ Union is at the heart of Cardiff student life. Whether you want to play sports, join a society, volunteer your time in the community, or contribute to our award-winning student media, you've come to the right place!

Get involved in freshers' events to find your community when you arrive. The Students' Union hosts a diverse range of events from the 16 to 29 September and Freshers' Fairs from Monday 23 to Thursday 26 September.

You'll be able to access your timetable during the first week of your course after you've:

Your personalised timetable will be available on MyTimetable, our online teaching timetable. Your timetable will also be accessible via our Student App.

Some of your teaching, such as seminars, may not commence at the start of the course. So, you must check your timetable regularly. If you are not seeing what you expect to see contact your school.
