Avoid delays in receiving your funding.

After you've applied to the relevant funding body, provided all required evidence, and your funding body has completed an assessment, you will be notified via your student funding account or post that assessment is complete.

It can take in the region of 6 weeks for an application to be processed by a funding body, depending on when you applied.

When you receive confirmation of your funding make sure you check that the university, course and year of study are correct on the letter. If any of this information is not correct then you need to amend/update your application as soon as possible.

Amending your application

If you need to amend your application, and are fully funded by Student Finance Wales, Student Finance England, Student Finance Northern Ireland or Student Awards Agency Scotland, please log into your student funding online account before 1 September. Amendments to applications can take in the region of 20 working days to be processed.

If you need to make any amendments to your application after the deadline of 1 September, or you are funded by the NHS Wales Bursary Scheme, our Funding and Advice team will be able to help you.
