Welsh and UK Government announcements regarding grades
We welcome the announcement by the Welsh and UK Governments that A level, AS, GCSE, Skills Challenge Certificate and Welsh Baccalaureate grades in Wales and England will now be awarded on the basis of Centre Assessment Grades (School or College assessment grades).
If you are impacted by this, we will honour the offer of a place in 2020 (or 2021 for those who applied for deferred entry) to all applicants who selected us as their firm choice, and those who selected us as their insurance choice (if they have not met the terms of their firm choice offer and have not been accepted by their firm choice university) whose amended grades meet the conditions of their offer by the following deadlines:
- 7 September 2020 – for all programmes except those listed below.
- 31 August 2020 – for programmes in our Schools of Architecture, Dentistry, Healthcare Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy for 2020 entry. After this date and up until 7 September, we will still honour a place but it may be for 2021 entry.
We do not have access to the Centre Assessment Grades. As soon as you have received official confirmation of these grades please get in touch with the Admissions team, so that we can advise you.
