Strike action - 25 May 2016

A Cardiff University spokesperson said: “We are disappointed with the decision by UCU to start industrial action.

“The vast majority of University staff appreciate the difficult economic climate that all Higher Education institutions currently operate within.

“As a result of the strike days that have been announced and the vote to work to contract, the University has put in place measures to minimise its impact on our students.

“The message to our students is simple: it’s business as usual, and all of your examinations will go ahead, as planned.

“We hope both UCEA – who negotiate on pay on behalf of all universities - and UCU will continue to hold discussions and reach a settlement in order to avoid any further potential disruption to our students.”
