Join our patient and public involvement group

If you would like the opportunity to have your voice represented in research, consider joining our Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) group.

What does being a PPI member involve?

Join our friendly group of people with lived experience of the conditions we study to help us shape our research.

Examples of things you might advise us with include how to share our research findings with people who would be interested to hear about them, and things that should be researched in the future.

Our group usually meet online every 2-3 months, and members are paid £25 per hour for their time.

Who can join?

We would like to invite anyone who has lived experience of any of the conditions studied by LINC. You could have a diagnosis of any one of these conditions, or care for someone else who has been diagnosed with any of the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Heart disease
  • Heart failure
  • Have had a stroke
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Dyslipidaemia (high levels of fat in the blood)

We encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to get in touch. You don’t need to have any previous experience to join our group, just opinions to share!
