Welsh medium provision

About this topic

The demand for graduates with the ability to communicate in Welsh is increasing and the University is committed to providing students with opportunities to develop and enhance their Welsh language skills.

Aligned with its Welsh Language Scheme (2014) and recent sector-wide developments, Cardiff University aims to embed the Welsh language within its culture and working practices as well as continually develop its Welsh medium educational provision. The University aims to ensure a high quality Welsh medium provision encompassing all aspects of the student experience.

In this section you will find resources by staff who are seeking ways to support Welsh-speaking students so that they are able to develop their professional skills and work confidently in Welsh or bilingually. As well as materials relating to Welsh medium teaching provision, the section includes resources on other aspects of Welsh medium support such as personal tutoring, digital and information literacy, and professional skills.
