Private and Commercial Law
Our notable interventions in private law include contributions to the work of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) and European Law Institute model Rules of Civil Procedure.
Our commercial law researchers study the interface of law with commercial practice in a variety of contexts – including intellectual property interests in the arts, and historical considerations of aspects of intellectual property and commercial law.
Colleagues research both UK and international aspects of company and commercial law, addressing issues including liability for corporate failure. Comparative law techniques are deployed across matters including secured credit and the carriage of goods by sea.
