Expert Witness Certificate

We are responsible for assessing, quality assuring and certificating a formal expert witness training programme in partnership with Bond Solon – the UK’s leading expert witness training provider.

Bond Solon offers three expert witness certificates in civil, criminal and family law.

Launched in the mid-2000s, the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Certificate is widely regarded as the industry gold standard. To date over 2,750 experts from a wide variety of professions have completed or are in the process of completing one or more of the certificates.

The CUBS Certificate is assessed by staff from Cardiff University’s School of Law and Politics and, if successful, candidates will be issued a certificate of competence that demonstrates to instructing parties and the courts that candidates are competent to perform the role of the expert witness.

Please note, the CUBS Certificate is not a credit bearing Cardiff University Award. Cardiff University provide assessment services only to Bond Solon and all Bond Solon rules and regulations prevail for candidates undertaking the Expert Witness Certificate.
