Facilities and services

All staff can access our libraries, computer suites, the Little Scholars Nursery and restaurants, as well as Students' Union facilities.

Little Scholars Nursery

Our Little Scholars Nursery provides care for children aged 10 weeks to five years for our staff and students. It was the NDNA (National Day Nurseries Association) Welsh Nursery of the Year 2010.

Sports facilities and Students' Union

Our staff enjoy access to the University's fantastic sports facilities, including a discount on activities and membership.

Staff are also welcome to use the facilities in the Students’ Union, including the Tafarn bar, CF10 Coffee shop, Union shop, Union Games Room and the shops located in the building.

Library services

Staff can visit – and borrow from – any of the University's libraries. This includes access to the Special Collections and Archives, a historical collection comprising rare books, newspapers, maps and microfilms and more.

IT Services

University IT provides 24/7 IT support via telephone on +44 (0)29 2251 1111. You can also contact the IT Service Desk via email during office hours.

Our network offers 24/7 access to software and resources from any networked computer on campus.

Microsoft 365 apps is available for free on personal devices and you can ensure that you stay safe online with access to free anti-virus software on personal Macs and/or PCs.

University staff can book onto IT training courses and use our computer suites across campus.

Staff networks and unions

As a member of staff, you can join any of our networks, clubs, unions and professional associations. Our staff equality networks include disability, Welsh language, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, Enfys (LGBT+) and carers and working families.

Catering outlets

We offer a variety of coffee shops, restaurants, cafes and bars across campus where you can relax with a cup of tea or catch up with colleagues in a friendly and welcoming setting.
