Strategic Planning

The department of Strategic Planning provides data, analysis, support and advice for the University.

The Performance team adds value by supporting the University in developing, implementing, and achieving its strategy, with specific attention to its research and education sub-strategies, and delivers the REF submission and areas of REF impact and environment work.

The Planning and Intelligence team provides expert information, support, and advice regarding University performance, its competitive position and its opportunities for collaboration, to support an evidence-based and strategic management culture and is responsible for the University's Data Strategy.

The Business Intelligence team provides access to data that aids the University’s senior management to make strategic information-based decisions. The team leads Cardiff Data Professionals, and also works with others to provide the data that underpins key University processes such as confirmation and clearing, and academic review and enhancement.
