The research study is active and ongoing and is obtaining detailed insights using online surveys and longitudinal in-depth interviews with nurses (of all grades) and across all branches of nursing.

The ICON survey is being led by the Royal College of Nursing Research Society steering group and is a collaboration between Cardiff University, King’s College London, University of Warwick, University of Plymouth, Nottingham University, University of Surrey and St Bartholomew’s Hospital.

Data will continue to be collected with the sample of nurses taking part in the qualitative phase.
