HCT108 - Adult Chest and Abdomen Reporting
This module aims to provide students with the advanced knowledge necessary to produce concise and coherent written reports of the chest and abdomen that detail image appearances, interpret pathology and relate significance to the management of patients with a sensitivity and specificity of 95%.
This is an optional module for PgC/PgD Radiographic Reporting, MSc Radiography and MSc Advanced Practice.
This module is a shared module for the healthcare professions.
A radiological mentor is required for the reporting modules. Please note Cardiff University does not organise the radiological mentor.

Entry requirements
Students are required to have completed Module HCT345 before enrolling on this module.
If you are already qualified to author your own radiological reports and wish to undertake either HCT207 or HCT108 as a standalone module, you may not be required to undertake HCT345 as a pre-requisite.
A first degree or diploma giving a licence to practice in the relevant health profession and two years post registration experience.
Students will need to provide a signed contract from their line manager and radiological mentor confirming the clinical commitment.
