Occupational Therapy Clinic
Our Occupational Therapy Clinic provides specialist assessment, treatment and advice for children with developmental disorders that affect performance and function in daily tasks.
There are some opportunities for students to assist with treatment when children come to the Occupational Therapy Clinic for treatment. Research opportunities can also arise from the clinic, as students may be able to engage children, parents and their families in a range of evaluative projects.
The room provides a space for children to complete table top assessments and activities, as well as handwriting and fine motor skills. The clinic is well stocked with toys and developmental equipment that can be used to stimulate play and engage children. This includes suspension points for a variety of swings, a small ramp and scooter board, a trampette, inflatable gym balls and roll, and other motivational tactile and play equipment.
