Join Kate Brain, Professor of Health Psychology and Dr Harriet Quinn-Scoggins, Research Associate both from the Division of Population Medicine. Their research focuses on public engagement with cancer screening. We know that early detection of symptoms, faster diagnosis and earlier treatment are key for cancer patients.
Professor Brain and Dr Quinn-Scoggins discuss how the global pandemic, national and local lockdowns and the documented strain on the NHS changed the way the public are making decisions to seek diagnoses and what needs to be done to change public awareness going forward.
