Online resources
We can help you find information from a wide range of online resources.
The Hub manages and develops the European Sources Online (ESO) information service, which has become the main tool for information provision and a key asset in the review of our print collection. ESO is a free access online resource.
ESO is the main gateway used by the team to compile and expose relevant electronic resources concerning European affairs. It also facilitates free online access to publications previously available in the print collection.
ESO brings together a mix of primary and secondary sources – official press releases, legislative texts and other public documents, media reports and opinion articles, blogs and reports, journal articles and textbooks, other information gateways and beyond. A number of information guides are also made available.
The editorial team is based at the European Information Hub. However, a number of librarians and information specialists from across Europe also contribute to increasing the wealth of content brought together by ESO. More details on this can found on the about page of European Sources Online.
The team at the Hub is also happy to assist in supporting usage of other useful search engines, databases and websites for information on the European Union and the wider Europe.
ESO is a free access service allowing you to find information on the EU and the wider Europe from a wide range of websites, databases, publications and documents.
