Fieldwork in South Wales

During the first few weeks of term, students on all our degree programmes head out on local field trips in South Wales.

South Wales has plenty of amazing locations to explore right on our doorstep, including the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, the Brecon Beacons and Caerphilly Mountain.

We have local field trips scheduled most Fridays during the first year to help you develop important key skills, like using a compass and reading maps. The first field trips are the perfect icebreaker and a chance for you to meet our lecturers and make new friends.

At the end of the first semester, our fieldwork options diverge, and you will complete course-specific fieldwork.
