Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a tax-efficient way to support the causes that are important to you. A Payroll Giving scheme enables you to donate regularly from your gross pay to charities of your choice, and you benefit from tax relief on your donations.

By supporting Cardiff University students or life-changing research through Payroll Giving, your gift goes further and costs you less. For example, a £10 pledge would only ‘cost’ a standard rate taxpayer £8 and a higher rate taxpayer just £6. Find out more about how you can help.

Your HR or Payroll team will be able to tell you if your organisation has an existing Payroll Giving scheme. If not, they might want to explore it and look at Payroll Giving agents such as Charitable Giving, CAF or Charities Trust. A Payroll Giving scheme is a great way for your organisation to meet its corporate responsibility objectives and showcase their support for Cardiff’s students and world-class research.
