Undergraduate

We offer three undergraduate degree programmes, which will fully prepare you for your career as a dental professional.

You’ll safely practice your clinical skills in our dental simulation suite, on mannequins that are fondly known as ‘phantom heads’, before getting stuck into real clinical scenarios with a range of patients thanks to our strong links with the NHS.

You’ll also embark on clinical placements in Wales, where you’ll be surrounded by an experienced team of clinicians, supporting you to become the best dental professional you can be

Work experience in our School of Dentistry

Although work experience is not mandatory to apply for our programmes, it is a great way to learn more about the profession you're interested in, and get a real flavour of life as a dental professional.

To apply for work experience with us you must be 16 or older, and placements are typically held on Thursdays and Fridays during term time.

You'll be allocated one clinic in the morning and another in the afternoon. Our three Dental Education Clinics and four specialised clinics include:

  • Oral Surgery
  • Exam and Emergency Clinic
  • Paediatric Clinic
  • Orthodontic Clinic
  • Adult Clinical Practice
