Who we are
We train highly-skilled and employable graduates in some of the fastest growing and in-demand areas, from data science and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity. We run a range of postgraduate courses in multidisciplinary fields such as Computer Science, Maths, Business, Journalism and Sociology. The Data Science Academy (DSA) is run by Cardiff University’s School of Computer Science and Informatics in partnership with the School of Mathematics with an industry advisory board as part of the steering committee. Why we need data scientists
Data scientists are extremely well sought after in a number of sectors and industries due to their ability to identify better ways of doing complex tasks - from helping doctors diagnose medical conditions more effectively to allowing people to communicate across the globe using instantaneous speech recognition and translation software. The Data Science Academy has been launched in response to this demand and the requirement from industry for highly-skilled students that are ready to hit the ground running once they graduate.
