Entry requirements for Singapore
Our entry requirements will vary depending on your level of study, the course you are interested in and your English language proficiency.
Undergraduate courses
For entry to our undergraduate programmes, our admissions tutors will consider students with good grades in the GCE A-level examinations or the International Baccalaureate.
Alternatively, the successful completion of one or more years of undergraduate study at a recognised University in Singapore may also be considered as acceptable for entry on to our undergraduate degree courses.
If you have successfully completed a Polytechnic Diploma, you may be eligible for Year 2 entry on to an undergraduate course. A strong GPA (3.2-3.5) or B grade average would usually be required.
Postgraduate taught courses
You will be required to hold a bachelor’s degree with grades equivalent to a Second Upper Class (2:1) from a recognised Singaporean university to qualify for our postgraduate taught courses. Consideration is also given to applicants who have completed a five-year Advanced Diploma or Specialist Diploma.
Postgraduate research courses
If you are applying for research courses from Singapore, you will be required to provide evidence that you have already carried out research, usually via the successful completion of a relevant master's degree.
You need to have successfully completed a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognised institution and possibly also have a relevant master's programme from a recognised institution.
English language
A relevant English language qualification may also be required – normally GCSE/GCE O-level English language C grade or IELTS 6.5, however, this may vary from course to course.
