Trosolwg

My research focusses on the development of advanced numerical methods and high-performance computing tools in mechanics.

Key competences:

  • Advanced numerical methods in solid mechanics: XFEM, CutFEM, Isogeometric Analysis, Mortar approaches and other modern discretisation methods for partial differential equations;
  • Error control and adaptivity;
  • Complexity reduction: multiscale numerical methods, homogenisation of heterogeneous media, Model Order Reduction for time-dependent, parametrised and/or stochastic mechanical system;
  • Data-driven Bayesian adaptive modelling;
  • Advance modelling for structural reliability: damage mechanics, fracture mechanics, micromechanics of composites.
