As a Health Psychologist, I am interested in how the way that people think and behave can influence their health and well-being. My research focuses on finding ways to help people avoid becoming unwell in the first place, and to have a better quality of life or recover more quickly when they do become unwell.
I am especially interested in maternal and child health. I also have a more general interest in improving the quality of patient care, and in particular of using approaches that activate and engage with patients and carers to offer them more choice and control over their health and well-being.
