New Bioorganic Chemist joins the School of Chemistry
9 Gorffennaf 2014
Dr. Yu-Hsuan Tsai from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology will join the School of Chemistry.
Dr. Tsai was educated in Taiwan and received a National Science Council Fellowship, before moving to the ETH Zürich, Switzerland, to study the chemical biology of glycosyl phosphatidyl inositols with Prof. P. H. Seeberger supported by various scholarships. After moving with Prof. Seeberger to the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany, Dr. Tsai finished his PhD studies at the Free University of Berlin. In 2012, he joined the group of Prof. J. W. Chin at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK, as a postdoctoral fellow to study genetically directed bioorthogonal tethering in mammalian cells. Dr. Tsai will move to the School of Chemistry in Cardiff early 2015.
