Cardiff Confucius Institute Sponsors International Symposium

From 12-13th October Cardiff Confucius Institute, in collaboration with Cardiff University School of Geography and Planning, hosted the 3rd International Symposium on Sustainable Smart Eco-City Planning and Development.

The Symposium brought together experts from the UK, Europe, the US and China to share updates, insights and expertise on the development of Smart Eco-cities worldwide. Over the two days a varied programme saw speakers cover and debate topics ranging from Green Infrastructures in Indonesia, to Sustainable Development Directions in China, to the rhetoric and reality of contemporary planning.

Overall the event was a great success with over 60 delegates attending across the two-day programme. Many commented on the importance of initiating cross-cultural, international debates and discussions in this important area and indicated that they would encourage and welcome future the next International Symposium on Sustainable Smart Eco-City Planning and Development.
