New agreement strengthens links with China

The School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies forges links with one of China’s leading Schools of Journalism.
Professor Chang Liu, Director, School of Journalism, Communication University of China (CUC), led a delegation to Cardiff University on Thursday 12 October to finalise an exciting new partnership agreement.
Professor Stuart Allan, Head of Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, together with Elliot Pill, the School’s Director of International Development, and colleagues, welcomed Professor Liu’s delegation. The new agreement will benefit students across many of the School’s courses, particularly in digital journalism and global communication.
Professor Allan explains: “We have enjoyed a long relationship with CUC at University, College and School levels. This MOU builds on this firm foundation, further supporting our mutual interest in developing a world-class provision in our shared subject areas.
“I look forward to welcoming students from CUC to our new home in Central Square over the next academic year.”
Communication University of China’s School of Journalism and Communication is one of China's leading Schools of journalism. As well as benefitting students, this new agreement provides scope for staff exchange programmes and for research and teaching collaboration.
